Brush Electroplating is an electroplating process which
allows various metals to be plated using a hand held tool
rather than immersing the part to be plated in a tank of
chemicals.
Advantages
- Cold process, no thermal distorsion on the basemetal
- Plate to desired tolerance
- Many (70) different metals to choose, for diff. applications
- Excellent bonding strength allows grinding, machining etc
- Dense deposits, good for corrosion resistance
- Fast buildt up capacity compared with tankplating
- Electroplating can be done ,on all conductive surfaces
- Portable equipment , makes it possible to repair onsite
